Marie Hélène Bonasso was born in Paris, France on the 23rd of March, 1958. After completing high school, where she concentrated in sciences, Marie continued her studies at the “E.S.A.G” School of Graphic Art in Paris, where she graduated in 1982. She started working as a graphic designer and illustrator in Paris and later moved to Milan, Italy. In addition to creating illustrations for the publishing industry, Marie illustrates book covers. She works with established periodicals including fashion magazines Elle, Vogue, Marie Claire, La Mode en Peinture, and Lei. Marie works with advertising industry clients to develop visuals for brands such as Bacardi and campaigns such as Jubilee 2000, the global campaign that led to the cancellation of more than $100 billion of debt owed by 35 of the world´s poorest countries. Her murals are featured in the La Vilette Museum in Paris and her textile designs have been used by fashion houses including Armani, Ungaro, Naj Oleari, Fiorucci, and Catalina.
