Paola Migliari was born in Bologna where she lives and works. She studied Fashion in Milan and started to work as children’s clothing designer and dress designer.
From 1994 on she has been working in the paper industry (wrapping paper, greeting cards, etc) and from 2007 she has started to illustrate children’s books.
In 2006 she was selected at Bologna Children’s Book Fair in the non-fiction section.
The same year and in 2008 she was selected for the catalogue and for the exhibition in the Pictor contest, in Turin. She won the Esposito Award in the contest Scarpetta d’Oro in 2009 and the Kleurboel prize in the contest Key Colors of Hasselt (Belgium) in 2010. The same year she was given an Honorable Mention in the contest of Scarpetta d’Oro.
