About the ILLUSTRATOR
Beatrice Xompero, lives (and draws) in Vicenza, a city in the Veneto region of northeast Italy. Early in her professional career, she worked as an educator conducting creative workshops for young children. Her constant desire to draw all day everyday led her to realize her passion for drawing by joining the renowned International School of Comics in Padua. Beatrice graduated in 2017 and started working as a freelance illustrator. She illustrates activity books, playing cards, toys, story books, apps and dossiers for young children. Beatrice is a seasoned creator of funny characters for young audiences. She has worked with several major European publishers including Edizioni Erickson, Clementoni, Mondadori Scienza, Focus Junior, Gruppo Eli, and Giunti. Beatrice has a wealth of experience in educational illustration and loves to illustrate educational books on science, history and subjects that inspire curiosity. In addition to her successful career in children´s illustration, she teaches children´s drawing at the International School of Comics. When Beatrice is not busy drawing and teaching, she can be found cycling around the town of Vicenza, making fruit and vegetable smoothies and reading.
