Lucia Mongioj

Lucia Mongioj was born in Novara, Italy, on February 20, 1967.

She graduated from the F.Casorati High School of Art.

After high school she specialized in Illustration and Advertising at IED, Istituto Europeo di Design, in Milan.

After her studies, she participated in illustration workshops with international artists such as Stepan Zavrel and Arcadio Lobato in Sarmede, the land of fairy tales. Later, he studied Computer Graphics in Milan.

She won First Prize in the competition for the best advertising campaign in Finish Layout organized by the advertising agency Incentive Gift in Milan, in collaboration with IED, European Institute of Design.

She won First Prize in the nationwide competition, organized by Contè, with Liceo Artistico Felice Casorati of Novara.

She has participated in nationwide illustration competitions: On the Wings of the

Butterflies and Words of Milk in Bordano, creating text and illustrations of the two short stories: …And there appeared a rainbow of multicolored wings and Ermengarda brave cow.

The works have been selected and put in the catalog.

She collaborates with the Milan Illustrations Agency, Switzerland.

She collaborates with the best-known Italian and foreign publishing houses and some Graphic Design and Advertising agencies.

She teaches a course in Illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts Acme in Novara.

Other artistic fields are her own, she has made solo exhibitions, participated in group shows, she also paints decorative murals for interiors.

She is an illustrator with great passion; she especially makes those colorful and imaginative images that express thoughts and words for books that children and adolescents read.

She loves the sea, art, music and traveling the world in search of new and fantastic things.
