Nicole Ceracini

Nicole, known artistically as Nimeryart, is a self-taught illustrator. Since childhood, art has been part of her life: she spent her time drawing, coloring, building things, and loved flipping through fairy-tale books, admiring all those beautiful illustrations.

As she grew up, she gradually gave less space to her passion. She studied Educational Sciences to become a nursery teacher, but after years of instability she realized it was not the right path for her. During COVID-19, she picked up those colored pencils she loved so much again, and a new hope was born—the hope of turning her passion into her job.

She started taking commissions almost for fun, but when she saw the requests increasing, she decided to open her VAT number and officially become an illustrator.

She enjoys using delicate colors, soft shading, and pencil-like strokes, partly to recall those fairy books she loved reading as a child. Last year she worked on her first book, a biography of Hayao Miyazaki with Edizioni EL, and it was an honor for her to illustrate his story.

Her dream is to continue illustrating books for children and young readers, and perhaps one day, through her illustrations, move them as deeply as she herself was moved as a child.
