Patrizia Donaera

Patrizia has 36 years of experience as an illustrator. Her creative and unique style has attracted numerous publishing houses including the French Nathan, the American Scholastic Inc., the Chinese Daylight Publishing House, the Korean Agaworld Co. and the English Dorling Kindersley, Usborne and Ladybird. Patrizia attended the three-year illustration course at the European Institute of Design in Milan. Her works are mainly made with traditional techniques, watercolour, ink and coloured pencils. Her favourite subject is the animal world; she tries to capture its magic and expressiveness without altering its natural characteristics. She has thus achieved considerable mastery in natural history and educational publishing, forming over time a unique and personal style, which meets the taste of adults and children. She currently lives between Liguria and Piedmont working as a freelance illustrator and teacher of scientific illustration and watercolor at the Libera Accademia d’Arte Novalia in Alba and the Scuola internazionale di Comics in Genoa. In her free time she enjoys sports such as swimming, as well as embroidery and gardening.
