About the ILLUSTRATOR
My name is Patrizia Manfroi. I was born in Milan where I live and work.
I graduated in scenic design at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan and I attended the Illustration and Comic School at Sforzesco Castle.
I attended different stages at NABA Academy in Milan, Mimaster in Milan, Cultural Association Teatrio in Venice with some renown illustrators such as Lisbeth Zwerger and Adelchi Galloni.
I took part in several international illustration competitions and exhibitions. In 2012 I won the Esposito Foundation Prize in the Scarpetta D’Oro contest. In 2013 and 2014 I have been selected for the Italian Illustrators Annual.
I am found of fairy tales atmospheres and I love to be inspired by these fantastic and poetic kingdom. I enjoy to express the distinctive features that just belong to childhood world, such as beauty, charm, irony and nonsense. I use both traditional and digital techniques such as watercolors, tempera, pencil, collage but also Photoshop and Illustrator.
