About the ILLUSTRATOR
Masha decided to be an illustrator when she was five or six years old because she felt she could improve upon the children’s books she owned. Originally from the Tarashcha town in Ukraine she studied Illustration at National Technical University in Kyiv where she swapped her paints and brushes for Procreate and digital art. After graduation she went on to work in a graphic design studio before coming back to her hometown and cutting the safety-wire and becoming a full-time freelance illustrator. Today she takes inspiration from nature – long walks in the forest, birds, flowers and insects. Masha’s style is clear and graphic, but has a soft, natural touch to it thanks to the real-world details and textures she uses.
