About the ILLUSTRATOR

Danilo Loizedda is an Italian illustrator and comic artist, as well as the illustrator of several books for children and young readers. After attending the Scuola del Fumetto in Milan, he self-published the comic Wonder Pig, which was a finalist for the Pierlambicchi Prize in Prato in 2000 and won the Pan/Nuvoloso Association competition for young emerging artists. After collaborating with small publishing houses and advertising agencies, he was selected in 2004 for a master’s program at the Disney Academy and for a course focused on the character of Geronimo Stilton. In addition to working with Disney and Piemme on various national and international titles, he has also published in France with Delcourt, Glénat, and Jungle, and in the United States for some underground magazines. As a teacher, he has taught at ACME, Mohole, Volta, and currently at NABA in Milan, as well as leading various workshops in schools across the provinces of Milan, Pavia, and Lecco. His dream is to create something entirely his own—a fully authorial project that allows him to express his inner world to the fullest.
