About the ILLUSTRATOR
Carlotta Maiello is a children’s illustrator born by the sea in Italy in 1997. Since she was a child, she has nurtured a passion for drawing and has always found joy in creating colourful and playful worlds. She studied animation at Nemo Academy, where she learned the fundamentals of bringing stories to life through movement. Later, she pursued a specialised course in storyboard at The Animation Workshop, but eventually discovered that her true passion was children’s illustration. Carlotta loves illustrating lively landscapes filled with animals, children, and joyful scenes. Her work often focuses on activity books and picture books, where she brings stories to life with warmth, colour, and a sense of wonder.
